Our Work

At Christcity Church, our faith is not confined within walls; it is expressed through active service to our community. We have developed a series of focused, on-the-ground initiatives to address the most critical needs in Mandapeta and the surrounding Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Kona Seema District. Our programs are designed to provide not just temporary relief, but lasting, positive change.

Project "Vidya Jyothi" - Child Education & Support

We believe that education is the most powerful tool to break the cycle of poverty. Through our "Vidya Jyothi" (Light of Knowledge) project, we work to ensure that every child has the chance to learn and build a bright future.

  • Educational Sponsorship: We provide financial support to underprivileged children to cover school fees, uniforms, textbooks, and other essential supplies.
  • After-School Tutoring: Our volunteers run evening study centers in the Tarvanipeta area, offering homework assistance and extra coaching to students who need it most.
  • Back-to-School Drives: Annually, we conduct drives to distribute school bags and stationery to hundreds of children, easing the financial burden on their parents.

"Mahila Sakthi" - Women's Empowerment Initiative

Empowering a woman is to empower a family and a community. Our "Mahila Sakthi" (Woman's Strength) program is dedicated to helping women become financially independent, confident, and respected members of society.

  • Vocational & Skill Training: We organize free training courses in tailoring, embroidery, pickle making, and other marketable skills to provide women with a source of livelihood.
  • Self-Help Group (SHG) Formation: We assist women in forming self-help groups, providing them with financial literacy training and encouraging a culture of saving and micro-enterprise.
  • Health & Awareness Camps: We regularly conduct health and hygiene awareness sessions specifically for women and adolescent girls, addressing key health issues.

"Karuna" - Community & Compassion Outreach

"Karuna" (Compassion) is our outreach program that provides immediate relief and support to the most vulnerable members of our community, including the elderly, widows, and differently-abled individuals.

  • Monthly Grocery Support: We identify and provide monthly kits of essential groceries and provisions to destitute families and elderly individuals who lack support.
  • Disaster Relief: During times of natural calamities like floods or cyclones, our team is on the ground, distributing emergency relief kits containing food, clean water, and basic necessities.
  • Blanket & Clothing Distribution: In the winter months, we distribute warm blankets and clothing to those living on the streets and in impoverished settlements, offering them comfort and protection.

Spiritual Nourishment & Guidance

As a church, our foremost duty is to provide spiritual and emotional support. We offer a welcoming space for anyone seeking peace, guidance, and a sense of belonging.

  • Worship Services & Prayer Meetings: We hold regular services and prayer meetings that are open to everyone.
  • Pastoral Counseling: Our pastoral team offers confidential counseling and emotional support for individuals and families going through difficult times.
  • Youth Ministry: We engage with the youth of Mandapeta through special programs, music, and activities that provide positive values and a supportive peer network.
